About the Kathambi Chepkwony Foundation
Born from a deep well of compassion and a relentless commitment to uplifting the most vulnerable, the Kathambi Chepkwony Foundation is a beacon of hope and empowerment. Inspired by the legacy of the late David Chepkwony , who dedicated his life to supporting those in need, the foundation seeks to continue his dream of creating a society where dignity, respect, and opportunity are within reach for everyone. Whether it’s through providing education for disadvantaged children, supporting widows and orphans and championing environmental conservation, our mission is to foster a community where every individual can thrive.
The foundation was Initiated by Hon Charity Kathambi Chepkwony, MP Njoro Constituency in memory of her beloved husband, David Chepkwony, the foundation is dedicated to honoring his lifelong passion for helping the vulnerable. He envisioned a world where widows, orphans, and the elderly are not just cared for but are empowered to lead fulfilling lives. Through income-generating activities, education, and holistic support, we are turning his vision into a reality while also addressing critical issues like climate change and environmental stewardship.
InaugurationThe foundation was officially launched on 17th August 2024 by the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, who was representing the President during the memorial service for the late David Chepkwony. This event was a significant milestone, marking the formal beginning of our journey to uplift the vulnerable—a mission that David Chepkwony passionately pursued during his lifetime. We are deeply honored to have the support of both the President and the Deputy President as we carry forward this vision of compassion and empowerment.
